Location: Cuero, TX 77954

Pay Rate: $15.00/hr

Shift: Day

Position Summary

The Warehouse Scanner is responsible for accurately scanning, tracking, and verifying products throughout the warehouse and distribution process. This position ensures inventory accuracy, supports shipping and receiving operations, and helps maintain efficient product flow while adhering to safety and quality standards. Typical scanner roles involve using handheld RF scanners to track inventory, process orders, and maintain accurate warehouse records.

Key Responsibilities

  • Use handheld RF scanners to scan and track products, pallets, and inventory movements.
  • Verify product quantities, lot codes, and locations for accuracy.
  • Pick, scan, and stage orders for shipment.
  • Receive and scan incoming products and materials.
  • Update inventory records through warehouse management systems.
  • Assist with palletizing, wrapping, labeling, and organizing inventory.
  • Identify and report damaged products or inventory discrepancies.
  • Follow FIFO (First-In, First-Out) inventory procedures when applicable.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
  • Comply with all company safety, food safety, and quality standards.
  • Work closely with warehouse, production, shipping, and receiving teams.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Previous warehouse, inventory, or scanning experience preferred.
  • Experience using RF scanners or warehouse management systems is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to read labels, inventory documents, and work instructions.
  • Basic computer and data-entry skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Frequent bending, reaching, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to work in a warehouse or production environment.
  • Ability to operate pallet jacks and other warehouse equipment as trained.
