JOB SUMMARY
The Marketing Director is responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive marketing strategies that align with organizational goals and objectives. The Marketing Director supervises marketing staff and works in conjunction with senior leadership to ensure successful marketing campaigns.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Analyze market trends to recommend and implement effective marketing strategies (EF)
- Collaborate with senior leadership, department managers, and key stakeholders to develop marketing materials that support service lines and other operational needs (EF)
- Respond promptly to shifts in market share (EF)
- Direct and implement all marketing and public relations activities for the organization (EF)
- Prepare and execute effective marketing campaigns (EF)
- Serve as the public information officer for the organization, acting as first point of contact for media relations and facilitate responses with key stakeholders as needed (EF)
- Actively manage vendors and contracts necessary for effective advertising (EF)
- Ensure the organization is appropriately represented throughout the community, and maintain association with organizations that align with the organization's mission and values (EF)
- Build and lead a high-functioning team through recruiting, training, coaching, and team development.
- Develop and manage the department's operating and capital budgets and remain within spending guidelines (EF)
- Ensure necessary resources (equipment, supplies, space, etc.) are available to support department functions
- Maintain positive relationships within the community and media.
- Ensure marketing representation is active within necessary hospital committees.
- Actively participate in hospital-sponsored events, both within the organization and the community, supporting committees with event planning and marketing. (EF)
- Complies with applicable regulatory agency guidelines, and federal, state, and local laws, rules, and regulations.
- Maintain professional growth and development through attendance at seminars and workshops, and reviewing applicable, current literature.
Hospital: - Adheres to organization-wide and other applicable policies and procedures.
- Day-to-day performance complies with the hospital's Service Excellence Behavioral Expectations.
- Performs within the prescribed limits of the hospital's Ethics, Compliance and Confidentiality Program guidelines.
- Performs within professional Scope of Practice at all times.

Minimum Requirements
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTSRequired: Bachelor's degree in marketing, advertising, communications, or related field
EXPERIENCERequired: 5 years of marketing experience. 3 years of supervisory experience.
SPECIAL SKILLS AND ABILITIESRequired: Communication and relationship skills necessary to collaborate with cross-functional teams; excellent written, interpersonal, and intrapersonal communication skills; excellent organization skills and attention to detail; ability to manage simultaneous, competing priorities; ability to create, implement, and monitor budgets; thorough understanding of principles and methods used to promote and display services, to include print, digital, and social media outlets.
