The Network Administrator for the City of Victoria plays a critical role in maintaining and securing the City's technology infrastructure. This position is responsible for the design, implementation, and ongoing management of the City's networking, VoIP, firewalls, cybersecurity, VPN, surveillance, and access control systems. In addition to being the City's lead network expert, the role also supervises two team members: a SCADA Technician and a P25 Radio Technician. The successful candidate will possess strong technical expertise in municipal network environments, a solid grasp of public sector compliance requirements (CJIS, HIPAA, PCI), and leadership skills that promote cross-functional collaboration and operational excellence. This role also supports the technology procurement process, including planning, budgeting, and managing vendor relationships for a wide range of critical infrastructure systems.
