General Manager Convenience Store Supplier

Date: Jul 15, 2025

About Franke

The Franke Foodservice Systems division is a world-leading supplier of kitchen facilities, equipment and supplies solutions. As a full system manufacturer, distributor and program management partner, we supply global chains in the quick-service restaurant, convenience store and supermarket segments, helping to manage unit growth and upgrade their facilities.

About the job

We're seeking a General Manager to lead the transformation and growth of our business supplying convenience stores. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who thrives on bringing structure, driving profitability, and creating operational clarity in a fast-paced, partner-driven environment. Reporting directly to the Global CEO Foodservice Systems in the U.S.

Your Mission:
You'll take full ownership of our operations, team, and partner relationships—bringing transparency, discipline, and strategic focus to every part of the business. You'll lead the charge in turning complexity into clarity and potential into performance.

  • Operational Excellence & Process Discipline
You'll bring structure to areas where it's currently lacking:
Design and implement robust inventory control systems to replace ad-hoc practices and improve cost visibility.
Standardize project management processes to reduce inconsistencies and ensure timely, predictable execution.
Proactively identify and eliminate operational surprises by embedding planning, risk management, and root-cause analysis into daily operations.
  • Financial Performance & Profitability
You'll lead the business toward sustainable profitability:
Take full ownership of the P&L, ensuring accurate reporting, cost control, and margin improvement.
Introduce a structured approach to rebate management, unlocking value from existing OEM and GPO relationships.
Build financial transparency and accountability across departments through regular reviews and data-driven decision-making.
  • Team Leadership & Organizational Alignment
Build a high-performance culture with clear accountability, empowerment, and succession planning.
Foster a culture of ownership, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Provide clear direction, regular feedback, and development opportunities to elevate team performance.
  • Strategic Planning & Execution
You'll bring clarity to where we are and where we're going:
Develop and communicate a clear strategic roadmap with measurable goals and milestones.
Close the loop on key initiatives by driving execution discipline and ensuring follow-through.
Introduce tools and routines that improve visibility into performance, progress, and customer impact.
  • Customer & Partner Engagement
You'll strengthen our credibility and value in the market:
Build strong, transparent relationships with dealerships, key accounts, and suppliers.
Ensure we're delivering consistent, high-quality service by aligning internal operations with external expectations.
Act as a trusted advisor to partners, proactively identifying ways to improve collaboration and service delivery.
  • Business Development & Growth
You'll bring a professional, focused approach to growth:
Lead structured business development efforts, including account penetration and expansion strategies.
Identify new market opportunities and drive initiatives to scale our offerings and capabilities.
Represent the company with credibility and confidence in customer, supplier, and industry settings.

Requirements

  • Proven leadership within a dealership or foodservice equipment supply (QSR/smallwares preferred)
  • Experience with GPOs, OEM rebate negotiations, and dealership scaling
  • Strong financial acumen and process orientation
  • High-level communication and change management skills
  • Hands-on, methodical, and focused approach
  • Bachelor's or Master`s degree in Business or related field

What we offer you

  • Be a part of a dynamic team that values your ideas, fostering a collegial work atmosphere and hands-on mentality at every level.
