What You Bring
B.S. in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or AS with additional experience
3+ years of experience with fixed and rotating equipment in a chemical or refining environment
Deep familiarity with pumps, compressors, turbines, heat exchangers, boilers, and tanks
Experience with vibration monitoring , predictive maintenance, and failure mode analysis
Proficiency with SAP or equivalent CMMS platforms
Strong technical communication skills from shop floor to leadership
Passion for safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement
Nice-to-Haves (but not required) :
API certifications (510, 570, etc.)
Experience in a legacy Dow or major petrochemical environment
Advanced education or professional certifications in reliability/maintenance
Solve equipment failures with smart, sustainable engineering solutions
Lead Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA) to stamp out repeat issues
Implement best-in-class maintenance plans based on historical data + FMEA
Monitor and improve PM and PdM programs using tools like vibration analysis, oil sampling, and thermography
Partner with Ops, Capital Projects, and Maintenance Techs to optimize reliability
Use SAP (or other CMMS) to ensure maintenance integrity, part tracking, and job planning
Contribute to major events like the annual plant shutdown and new equipment commissioning
Mentor technicians and junior engineers with targeted technical training
Identify bad actors, reduce unnecessary maintenance, and drive Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) thinking
Assist in capital and reliability project execution by collaborating with all stakeholders to ensure appropriate communication between all groups.
Develop and update equipment strategies aimed at equipment reliability improvements.
Perform studies on equipment failures and present solution(s), in report format, to management.
Refines the preventive/predictive maintenance process in pursuit of optimization.
