START ASAP BILL RATE: $60 SHIFT: DAYS -7A-430P W/ 1.5 HOUR BREAK - no call REQUIREMENTS: Histotech with experience (minimum 5 yrs) does not have to be certified but prefer a college degree at least AS. Will work only in pathology and pick up specimens from OR, IR, GI lab, Bone Marrow assist on collection. Volume varies depending on procedures for the day. Instruments as follow: Tissue Processor Excelsor AS Tissue Embedder Histostar Micrometer HM3555 Stainer Gemeni AS Cytospin 4 Cryostat we have a Leica and a Micron Blocks are manually labeled as well as slides SCRUBS - ANY COLOR TRAVELERS SUBMITTED WITHOUT THE NECESSARY INFO OR REQUIREMENTS WILL BE REJECTED MUST INCLUDE THE HOME ADDRESS & SSN ON THE SUBMISSIONS TRAVELERS MUST BE GREATER THAN 50 MILES FROM THE FACILITY The Histology Technician demonstrates critical thinking skills, judgement and proficiency in the practice of all technical procedures in accordance with standards set by applicable regulatory agencies including CAP, TJC, CLIA, AABB and OSHA. Testing is provided for patients with varying degrees of clinical conditions and different acuity levels. Testing is provided for all age ranges from newborns to geriatric patients.
