JOB SUMMARY:

The Maintenance Engineer performs mechanical repairs and preventive maintenance relating to his specialty. Regarding HVAC, electrical, Plumbing, pumps, etc.

Job Specific:

1. Able to open and close maintenance work orders listing labor and material. (EF)
2. Ability to repair or replace equipment, lighting or basic plumbing. (EF)
3. Knowledge of trade symbols, language, and operation of equipment. (EF)
4. Must adhere to all policies/procedures of hospital. (EF)

Hospital:

1. Adheres to organization-wide and other applicable policies and procedures.
2. Day-to-day performance complies with the hospital's Service Excellence Behavioral Expectations.
3. Performs within the prescribed limits of the hospital's Ethics, Compliance and Confidentiality Program guidelines.
4. Performs within his/her professional Scope of Practice at all times.

Minimum Requirements

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• High School graduate or equivalent
• Five years (5) mechanical, repairs, and inspection in hospital or related industry
• Knowledgeable in basic wiring, plumbing and mechanical equipment operation

PREFERRED:

• Licensed in trade, ie. plumbing, electrical, HVAC
• Able to read and understand mechanical, electrical, plumbing blueprints, drawing or schematics
• HVAC/Electrical/Plumbing
